TFP / Free photoshoot details | Rastered images for sale
I’ve added a page to my site that describes what a TFP shoot is and also what to expect from having one. It’s essentially a way for me to expand my portfolio and for someone to get free photographs. The details can be found here.
Please browse my images on Flickr, especially the Submission set. If there’s an image that you would like printed in rastered form (such as below), let me know. I’m willing to print them for a modest / fair price. I’ll deliver it and assemble it or send it via postal service or FedEx. If you want it on a special type of paper or canvas, it will be more expensive as I’ll need to go buy the paper. Although, if you supply all of the supplies or even have it printed yourself, I am more than willing to send you a PDF file to get printed, then you’ll crop the pages, then assemble it.
Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t.
– Mary SchmichUpdate Your Hotlinks!
In the past, some people hotlinked to things on my domain. I had completely forgotten about it. I could tell that I was forgetting something.
However, if you had hotlinked to something on my domain, it’s still there. Just add “www3” to it.
So, if you had an image: http://meepness.com/image.jpg, change it to http://www3.meepness.com/image.jpg
I’ve made the move to Tumblr…
For the first time since I’ve had my domain, I’m hosting it somewhere that isn’t my own personal server.
I’ve decided to go ahead and use a blogging service, Tumblr, which is a very good way for me to create a website without really having to worry about hosting it, nor do I have to worry about all of the coding and design on my own. I think that I will enjoy this service.
I can easily add pages and do the basic content management of it. I can code, but I would prefer for things to be easier for me. Rather than relying on a page kit or my design skills (I hate designing), I’ve decided to go this route.
If it doesn’t work out, I can always redirect my domain back to my server or possibly find another service. I didn’t really like blogger, it just didn’t feel “right” to me.
I don’t know what it is about Blogger that didn’t sit well with me. I love the Interface in Tumblr. That could be it. I was going to kill my blogger page, but I might as well leave it open. I might use it some day.
Watch out, folks: The HPD has a whole new ticket crackdown on the way. http://is.gd/dk50a
– HoustonPressMiscellaneous blogs and sites I have setup.
So, here are my links for things I have setup now:

Personal Blog: http://dalbaech.livejournal.com

So here’s to using yet another service online…

So, I use flickr for my image hosting, I use blogger for my makeshift portfolio blog, but I think I may actually use this instead. I’m just debating on what to do. I’m tired of having so many different places to update.
For example, I still have my livejournal account that I use to occasionally write about my life.
I’m starting a photography business… I think I’m going to try to consolidate everything under one name space and leave just livejournal for absolutely “personal” posts.
Edited this post on 7/9/2010:
I’m going to be using this service for a while. I’m liking it thus far. Even though it may have some quirks, such as load times, etc. It’s expected that any service have growing pains. :)
